titleOfInvention ALKYLATION OF BENZENE BY A C2 OR C3 ALKYLATION AGENT, IN THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYST BASED ON EUO ZEOLITH, FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF CUMENE AND ETHYLBENZENE
abstract The present invention relates to an alkylation process in which, on the one hand, benzene is treated and on the other hand a feedstock comprising at least one compound chosen from the group formed by olefins containing from 2 to 3 carbon atoms per molecule. and alcohols containing from 2 to 3 carbon atoms per molecule, in the presence of an alkylation catalyst comprising a zeolite of structure type EUO, comprising silicon and at least one element T selected from the group formed by aluminum, iron, gallium and boron, (preferably aluminum and boron), with an overall Si / T atomic ratio greater than 5 and with a sodium content of less than 300 ppm. The process comprises recycling the polyalkylated products to the alkylation zone. The process makes it possible to synthesize cumene and ethylbenzene.
