Process for the preparation of a catalyst containing at least one carrier, at least one Group VIII metal of the Periodic Table of Elements and at least one additional element M selected from the group consisting of germanium, tin, lead, rhenium, niobium, gallium, indium and thallium, wherein said M element is introduced into an aqueous solvent at a pH below 10, in the form of at least one water-soluble organometallic compound comprising at least one linkage carbon-M. The invention also relates to a catalyst obtained according to the process of the invention as well as to the use of said catalyst in reactions of transformation of organic compounds. |
