abstract |
The invention relates to compounds which are benzotriazole-type UV absorbers substituted at the 5-position of the benzo ring by an electron-acceptor group, especially a perfluoroalkyl group such as trifluoromethyl, and preferably also substituted at the 3-position of the benzo ring. phenyl ring with a phenyl or phenylalkyl group such as alpha-cumyl. These compounds provide increased durability and low rates of loss when incorporated into automotive coatings and thermoplastic compositions. Application Field: Stabilizers for organic materials. |
