abstract The method relates to plasma panels comprising two facing slabs (2, 3) which contain a plasma discharge gas, at least one of the slabs having an array of electrodes (X1-X5, Y1-Y3) used to define a set of gas discharge cells and a network of barriers (7) delimiting cells where the barriers are produced by depositing material constituting the barriers on the dielectric material. It is characterized in that a material is used for the deposition of the barriers (7) which has a high secondary emission coefficient under the conditions of the plasma discharge. The material constituting the barriers (7) can be a compound with yttrium base or a compound rich in yttrium.
