abstract The invention relates to a fuzzy diagnostic system of the actions and intentions of the driver on the steering wheel of his vehicle comprising means for measuring the torque exerted by the driver and the steering wheel angle, a location device and a computer. on-board electronics communicating with a supervisor such as the computer (4) comprises: - a module (11) and a module (12) respectively delivering a first and a second indication of the driver's willingness (V1 and V2) to act on the steering wheel, from the torque (C) applied to the flywheel; - a module (13) for detecting and a module (14) for diagnosing an action by the driver on the steering wheel; - a module (15) for diagnosing the intentions of the driver in relation to the environment of the vehicle.
