abstract |
The present invention relates to microspheres comprising polyvinyl alcohol useful for embolization. The present invention also relates to an injectable suspension suitable for embolization comprising microspheres of polyvinyl alcohol and a liquid support. The present invention further relates to a method of prophylactic or therapeutic embolization which comprises the administration to a mammal of an injectable suspension containing microspheres of polyvinyl alcohol and a suitable liquid carrier. The present invention finally relates to a process for manufacturing polyvinyl alcohol microspheres. |
