titleOfInvention | NOVEL ANALOGUE COMPOUNDS OF NUCLEOTIDES, PROCESSES FOR THEIR PREPARATION AND THEIR APPLICATIONS |
abstract | The subject of the present invention is novel molecules of the "nucleotide analog" type, their methods of preparation and their applications, in particular as inhibitors of viral development or as antitumor substances. A nucleotide analogue is a molecule that structurally mimics a natural nucleotide. It consists of three parts: a nucleic base analogue or a natural nucleotide base or a derivative, an analogous part of a ribose or a deoxyribose or a derivative, a part mimicking a natural phosphate group: a free phosphinic group or protected. These three parts are linked together to mimic a natural nucleotide and all the combinations between the constituents of these three parts are possible to constitute a nucleotide analogue. At present, the curative treatment of viral infections is related to the development of the chemotherapy and any drug acting selectively at one of the phases of viral replication is likely to interfere with viral multiplication. The present invention specifically relates to the use of a new type of atomic group capable of imparting enhanced properties to nucleoside analogs having antiviral or antitumor activity, or providing novel nucleoside analogs with valuable antiviral or antitumor properties. This novel grouping of atoms is attached to the osidic or analogous osidic part of the nucleoside analogue molecules. The present invention also relates to therapeutic anti-viral, anti-cancer therapeutic preparations comprising at least one of the molecules corresponding to the formula 1 of the invention. According to the invention, the compounds have the following general formula: ## STR1 ## The preparations may further comprise one or more molecules which inhibit viral replication, for example in the case of HIV, molecules acting on the HIV protease or other viral or cellular targets leading to a decrease in HIV proliferation. |
