abstract A test apparatus (10) for a printed circuit board (28) having a test probe pattern (24) and a fixed probe plate (18) and a top plate (20) adapted to pull away and move closer to the probe plate. The probe plate and top plate have selected hole patterns for passing test probes through the probe plate and the top plate to contact check points on the printed circuit board (28) which is supported on one end of the testing apparatus. A probe retaining plate is disposed below the top plate in an area where the test probes are located to prevent them from exiting the probe plate. The apparatus further includes a spacer plate (32) containing interface probes (34) for converting the apparatus between a wired test apparatus and a wireless test apparatus.
