titleOfInvention NEW SURFACTANT COPOLYMERS BASED ON METHYLIDENE MALONATE
abstract The present invention generally relates to a new family of biocompatible surfactant copolymers having a wide spectrum of uses, in particular in the pharmaceutical field and for the synthesis of materials in the dispersed state as well as the surface treatment of materials or biomaterials. According to the invention, these copolymers are characterized in that they comprise a sequence of hydrophobic nature formed: either of a homopolymer consisting of recurring units corresponding to the following general formula (I): (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) in which: - R1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a (CH2) m group - COOR3 in which m is an integer between 1 and 5 and R3 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms carbon; - R2 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and - n is an integer between 1 and 5; - either of a random copolymer consisting of different recurring units corresponding to formula (I) as defined above; - or finally of a random copolymer mainly consisting of units corresponding to formula (I) as defined above.
