The invention relates to a diaphragm carburetor for an internal combustion engine to be started by hand, having a control chamber (16) filled with fuel and connected, via a line (19) of the main nozzle, to a venturi section (9) of an intake channel (10), an idle jet pipe which opens behind a throttle valve (12) carried, free to rotate, in the intake channel (10), and a choke valve (11). According to the invention, during cold start and during hot start, the choke butterfly is given the same start position, into which a quantity of combustion air can enter such the internal combustion engine remains in working order after starting. |
