abstract | The present invention relates to a method for controlling Papaver, Matricaria, Viola and / or Polygonum weeds in cereal crops, which comprises the step of applying, to the site where it is desired to control the weeds, of a herbicidally effective amount of a composition comprising a benzyluracil of the formula: (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) wherein V is chlorine; W is chlorine or the methoxy radical; X is hydrogen; Y is chlorine or the methoxy radical; and R is methyl or amino. Preferred benzyluracils are those for which R is the methyl radical. |
