titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ZIRCONS BY HYDROTHERMIC TREATMENT AND ZIRCONS THUS OBTAINED
abstract The invention relates to a process for preparing zircons by hydrothermal treatment in an autoclave, at a temperature between 100 and 250 degreC, of a medium containing at least a zirconia gel, at least one silica and at least one source fluoride ions, the pH of said medium being at most 4 or at least 8. It also relates to the zircons capable of being obtained by this process and their application as precursors of colored pigments or as catalyst supports.
