A hair treatment composition for providing the hair follicle with lipid fatty acid precursors integral to the hair comprising: (i) a first fatty acid precursor which is an amino acid selected from leucine, isoleucine, methionine and valine, and mixtures thereof, this precursor being present in proportions of 0.01 to 20% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, and of 20% to 100% by weight, relative to the total weight of amino acids present in the composition, (ii) from 0.01% to 20% by weight of a second fatty acid precursor chosen from sugars, mono-, tri-carboxylic acids and their salts, this second fatty acid precursor being capable of yielding a unit with two or three carbon atoms in order to lengthen the fatty acid chain, (iii) at least one surfactant chosen from anionic, amphoteric, zwitterionic and cationic surfactants, and their mixtures. |
