abstract The present invention relates to a novel hydrophilic adhesive mass usable for medical purposes characterized in that said hydrophilic adhesive mass comprises: (a) 20 to 40 parts by weight of a poly (styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene) block copolymer, grafted with maleic anhydride (b) 25 to 55 parts by weight of a tackifying resin, (c) 5 to 20 parts by weight of an oily diluent, in particular of a mineral oil, (d) 25 to 55 parts by weight of a hydrocolloid, (e) 0.1 to 2 parts by weight of at least one antioxidant. It also relates to the use of this hydrophilic adhesive mass for producing protective dressings, in particular for the treatment of the blister, superficial dermo-epidermal lesions of the skin, exuding wounds and burns.
