abstract |
The present invention relates to microcapsules characterized in that they are formed from a wall of chitin or of chitin derivatives or of polyhydroxylated polyamines or a salt thereof, said wall coating a hydrophobic substance. It also relates to a process for preparing microcapsules, characterized in that: an emulsion is formed of a hydrophobic phase consisting of the hydrophobic substance in an aqueous phase containing an anionic surfactant chosen from surfactants capable of causing insolubilization of chitosan or of chitosan derivatives or of polyhydroxylated polyamines, - said emulsion is mixed with an organic salt of chitosan or of chitosan derivatives or of polyhydroxylated polyamines so as to cause the coacervation of the chitosan or of the chitosan derivatives or of the polyhydroxylated polyamines around the droplets of hydrophobic phase, - subjecting the coacervate of chitosan or chitosan derivatives or polyhydroxylated polyamines to an acetylation or crosslinking reaction, - the microcapsules are recovered. Application to cosmetic compositions incorporating sun filters. |
