titleOfInvention NEW PROCESS FOR ISOMERIZATION OF RADICAL METHYL IN 10 FROM ERYTHROMYCIN DERIVATIVES
abstract The subject of the invention is an isomerization process characterized in that a compound of formula (IA) is subjected: (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) in which either X and Y together form a 3-oxo radical, or else X represents a hydrogen atom and Y represents either a radical: (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) in which R2 represents OH or O-acyl, or an O-alkyl or NH2 radical, - R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a radical methyl, - Z represents a hydrogen or an acyl radical, - R represents a hydrogen atom, an NH2 radical or a (CH2) n Ar, NH (CH2) n Ar or N = CH (CH2) n Ar radical, under form of 10 alpha isomer or of mixture of 10 alpha and 10beta isomers, with the action of a basic agent to obtain the corresponding compound of formula (I) in which the methyl radical at 10 is in the beta position.
