abstract |
The invention relates to a method and a device for allowing the determination of a petroleum characteristic of a sample heated in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, its temperature being raised successively to a first value less than 200 deg. C and substantially constant during a certain time, then a second value between 600 deg.C and 850 deg.C reached according to a temperature gradient between 0.2 and 50 deg.C / min, from the first value. - In the method and the device, the quantity of CO2 contained by the effluent resulting from said heating is measured continuously, at each instant of the heating period of the sample, and a curve representative of the quantity of CO2 is drawn. and the CO 2 of organic origin is differentiated from the CO 2 of mineral origin on the basis of the shape of the curve. |
