abstract The invention relates to a novel process for preparing acyl isocyanates which comprises reacting oxalyl chloride with an N-trialkylsilylcarboxamide or an N, N-bis (trialkylsilyl) carboxamide. The process makes it possible to obtain the acyl isocyanates with a good yield, in particular the acyl isocyanates derived from aliphatic amides, and under simplified reaction conditions.
