NEW LATEX OF CALIBRATED MONODISPERS MAGNETISABLE MICROSPHERES, PROCESS FOR PREPARATION AND USE OF THE LATEX IN CHEMISTRY OR BIOLOGY |
abstract |
The present invention relates to novel latexes of monodisperse magnetizable microspheres formed from a hydrophobic polymer matrix and magnetizable fillers, remarkable in that the microspheres have a calibrated particle size distribution, a size between approximately 0.1 and 5 micrometers and in that the polymer matrix is formed from polymer chains derived from at least one vinyl monomer as obtained by the dispersion polymerization process. The invention also relates to the application of latexes in biology, in particular for diagnostic methods and in affinity chromatography. |
