titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR EXTRACTING CHROME AND / OR ARSENIC PRESENT IN SOLID OR SEMI-SOLID MATERIALS |
abstract | The subject of the invention is a process for the extraction of chromium and / or arsenic present in the form of derivatives of their oxidation degrees equal to or greater than III in solid or semi-solid materials such as sols, sludge from settling or alluvium, which consists in subjecting said materials to the action of an electric field created between electrodes placed in electrode compartments arranged in wells made in the material to be treated and which contain a conductive solution, by maintaining the pH of the conductive solution at a value greater than or equal to 7 during the course of the extraction process and by operating, if necessary, in the presence of an alkaline or alkaline-earth hypohalites. Such a process can be used in particular for the rehabilitation of industrial soils containing arsenic, chromium and, where appropriate, other elements dangerous for the environment. |
