Sulfur products are described which are derived from mono or polyethylenic hydrocarbons by sulphurization using elemental sulfur in the presence of alkali metal carbonate or hydrogen carbonate and in the presence of water and / or at least one alkylene glycol. Sulfur-containing products, which can contain from 20 to 70% by mass of sulfur, are generally soluble in lubricants, whose anti-wear and extreme pressure properties they improve. They can also be used as sulphurizing agents, in particular in the preparation of catalysts for refining petroleum products. |
