titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF PYRROLIZINE DERIVATIVES |
abstract | This process comprises the steps of (i) preparing the compounds (III) by reaction between pyrrole and a dialkyl diazomalonate or an alkyl diazoacetate, in the presence of a transition metal as a promoter; (ii) preparing the compounds (IV) by reaction between the compounds of formula (III) and a dihaloethane, in the presence of potassium carbonate as the base, in an aprotic polar solvent; and (iii) preparing compounds (I) according to Vilsmeir-Haak aroylation, using arylmorpholide-acid chloride complexes or dialkyl amine-acid chloride complexes. (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) R = lower alkyl; X = hydrogen or alkoxycarbonyl; Ar = fraction chosen from: (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) Steps (ii) and (iii) can also be reversed. |
