abstract On a semiconductor wafer (2) comprising a layer with increased refractive index between a lower confinement layer and an upper confinement layer (CS), a dielectric layer is deposited which is etched to form a delimiting strip (10). delimiting in alignment the buried ribbon (RL) and the external ribbon (RM) and able to resist attacks. A first attack releases the external ribbon and a buried ribbon primer (12). A second attack releases the body of the buried ribbon after protection of the external ribbon. Finally a selective deposit realizes the lateral confinement of the buried ribbon.
