titleOfInvention | Process for the permanent deformation of keratin materials. |
abstract | The invention relates to a new process for treating keratin materials, in particular the hair, with a view to obtaining permanent deformation of the latter, in particular in the form of permed hair, said process being characterized in that it comprises the following steps: (i) a reducing composition containing a thiol selected from the group consisting of cysteine, cysteamine, thioglycolic acid, thiolactic acid, 3-mercaptopropionic acid, is applied to the keratin material to be treated, their salts and the esters of said acids, the means (rollers) necessary for placing the keratin material under mechanical tension being used before, during or after said application, (ii) optionally, the keratin material thus treated is then subjected to heat treatment (heating), (iii) then the keratin material thus treated is rinsed, (iv) the keratin material thus rinsed is then left to stand, (v) s on the keratin material, a composition called "acid composition" containing at least one carboxylic acid, (vi) the keratin material thus treated is allowed to stand, (vii) and finally, the keratin material thus treated is rinsed again, the keratin material being separate from the tensioning means used in step (i) either before or after the application of said acid composition, or before or after rinsing according to step (vii). |
