abstract | Protective coated screen for viewing low beta light or radiation, and its application to recording and reproducing this radiation image. The screen comprises a support (3) for a stimulable phosphorescent or luminescent material (5) and coated with a protective coating (7), substantially continuous, which follows its shapes. This coating (7) of a paraxylylene polymer has a thickness of about 0.10 to 50 mum and in particular 0.1 to 1.0 mum. Application: good protector against humidity and physical damage, the thin coating enables light or radioactive radiation to be detected with great sensitivity for detections and assays, especially in the laboratory. |
