titleOfInvention | Current limiter with calibration module. |
abstract | This current limiting unit (24) allows the use of circuit breakers of low nominal value in industrial applications. This unit includes a calibration module (25A) in the form of a material with a positive temperature coefficient (26A) connected in series with an ohmic resistance (27A). The calibration module is connected in parallel with the components of the current limiter to limit the short-circuit current to a fixed value. A circuit breaker (17) connected in series with the limiter interrupts the circuit current. Other calibration modules are connected in a cascaded logic network to meet the nominal short circuit requirements of a distribution circuit. |
