titleOfInvention Secondary electrochemical generator with maintenance-free aqueous electrolyte.
abstract The subject of the present invention is an electrochemical generator with an aqueous alkaline electrolyte comprising a bundle of electrodes placed in a tank and composed of at least one anode and at least one cathode containing nickel hydroxide, and a system for oxygen recombination comprising at least one at least partially hydrophobic recombination electrode with two opposite faces with a large surface area and the first face of which is attached to said anode, characterized in that said recombination electrode is associated with a structure providing contact of the second face of said electrode with an incompressible space of small thickness to allow access to oxygen throughout the period of use of said generator.
