titleOfInvention Adhesive composition, for surgical use, based on collagen modified by oxidative cleavage and uncrosslinked.
abstract The invention relates to a biocompatible, bioresorbable and non-toxic adhesive composition, for surgical use in particular for the binding of biological tissues to one another or to an implanted biomaterial, characterized in that it comprises a reactive acid solution of collagen or modified gelatin ( e) by oxidative cleavage, uncrosslinked (e) and potentially crosslinkable, at a concentration preferably between 5 and 30% by weight approximately. It also relates to powders and reactive acid solutions based on collagen or gelatin modified by oxidative cleavage, not crosslinked, serving as intermediate products in the preparation of the aforementioned composition as well as their repair process. It also relates to adhesive kits comprising, on the one hand, the aforementioned reactive acid solution and, on the other hand, a neutralization solution, intended for extemporaneous mixing. Finally, it relates to a method of applying the adhesive composition according to the invention. The invention is particularly useful in the fields of adhesion, hemostasis, sealing against liquids or gases, cicatrization, filling, surgical anti-adhesion, embolization, as a local system for the release of medicinal principles, etc.
