Concrete with self-leveling and self-leveling property. |
abstract |
The invention relates to a concrete composition having a self-leveling and self-leveling property for pouring a volume of concrete whose surface will have a smooth and perfectly horizontal appearance without mechanical treatment of the surface following the pouring of the concrete. The composition of liquid concrete traditionally comprises cement, sand and water, and in addition ultrafine particles other than cement up to 80 micrometers in size at a weight ratio of ultrafine to cement. in the range between 0.4 and 2.2. The composition further comprises synthetic fibers and fluidifying adjuvants. Concrete having the properties mentioned above can advantageously be used for the casting of screeds or any other concrete product comprising a large horizontal surface, the smoothing and horizontal leveling of which would represent a considerable additional work after the concrete has been poured. The screed cast from concrete according to the invention may comprise a film of curing product. |
