abstract System for efficient production of ozone from oxygen or dry air. The system comprises a generator (3) having a plate-type conformation provided with at least two electrodes (4) made from a light material, having a high surface area to mass ratio, which are enclosed in a chamber which is cooled by a gas comprising oxygen at room temperature. A more preferable configuration of the electrodes (4) contained in the generator is a configuration in which these are concentric with a dielectric tube. The preferable materials for the electrodes are chosen from glass, a ceramic or a plastic material covered with a thin layer, having a high dielectric constant.
