abstract Process for preparing an oxazolidine-1,3-carboxylic acid of general formula (I) from a product of general formula (II). In general formulas (I) and (II): Ar represents an aryl radical, R1 represents a benzoyl radical or an R2 -O-CO- radical in which R2 represents an alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, bicycloalkyl, phenyl or heterocyclyl, Ph represents an optionally substituted phenyl radical, X represents the residue of an optically active organic base or an alkoxy radical optionally substituted by a phenyl radical. The acids of general formula (I) are particularly useful for preparing taxol, Taxotere or their analogues which exhibit remarkable antitumor and antileukemic properties. (CF DRAWING IN BOPI)
