titleOfInvention Method for molding polyurethane seat cushions.
abstract In the method of molding a polyurethane seat cushion in a mold (4) having a cavity comprising a central region (2) corresponding to the central seating part of the seat and side regions (3, 3) corresponding to the armrest parts of this seat, collecting containers (5) of expanded polyolefin are placed in the lateral regions of the mold cavity (4) and a foamable liquid formed of polyurethane is poured to produce a low hardness foam in the cavity between the collecting vessels and pouring a foamable liquid formed of polyurethane to produce a high hardness foam in the collecting vessels (5), the polyolefin constituting these vessels being a crosslinked polyolefin foam having a surface wetting index of at least 36 dynes / cm.
