Process for the preparation of a compound chosen from metal and silicon carbides and nitrides, comprising the steps consisting in obtaining a solution of a material derived from carbon in a solvent, said material derived from carbon, without solvent, having a composition from 70 to 91% by mass of carbon, 2 to 6% by mass of hydrogen and 3 to 20% by mass of oxygen, and a source of a silicon oxide or of metal, to react the material derived from carbon in solution and the oxide source, removing the solvent to form a precursor and subjecting the precursor to heat treatment to produce the desired compound. |
