Process for the preparation of 2- (tetrazol-5-yl) - [1, 1'-biphenyl] derivatives of formula (I) (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) in which X = CHO, (C1 - 4) alkyl, (C1 - 3) alkoxy, CH (OR5) 2, CH (OH) OR5 where R5 = H, (C1 - 3) alkyl which can optionally form, in the case of CH (OR5) 2, a 1,3-dioxolane or 1 ring , 3-dioxane, Y = H, C (CH3) 3, C (C6 H5) 3, Sn (CH3) 3, Si (CH3) 2 C (CH3) 3, Si (C6 H5) 2 C (CH3) 3 , CH2 CH2 CN, CH2 OR6 where R6 = CH3, CH2 C6 H5, C (CH3) 3, CCl3 -CH2, C6 H5 -CH2 -O-CO, or CCl3 -CH2 -O-CO, Y in position 1 or 2 of the tetrazole ring. A compound of formula (2) (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) in which X is as defined above and M = Al, B, Cd, Cu, Mg or Zn is reacted with a compound of formula (3) (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) in which Y is as defined above and Z = Br or I, in the presence of a catalytic amount of palladium or nickel activated, if necessary, with a Grignard reagent or an aluminum hydride. |
