titleOfInvention NOVEL ALDITYLAMINE ANHYDRIDES AND METHODS FOR PREPARING THE SAME.
abstract New 1-amino-1-deoxy-3,6-anhydro-hexitols 1 and 1-amino-1-deoxy-2,5-anhydro-pentitols 2 of general formula (I). (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) where n = 1 for compounds 1 and n = 0 for compounds 2 and in which R is either H or COR1. Process for preparing the new alditylamine anhydrides of formula (I), characterized in that a 1-amino-1-deoxy-alditol (glycamine) is reacted with at least one carboxylic acid, an anhydride or a halide of corresponding acid in liquid hydrogen fluoride at a temperature below about 50 ° C, this reaction being optionally followed by a conversion of the anhydro-glycamines obtained into corresponding amides by means of a carboxylic acid, of a way known per se.
