PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY WITH TWO OPERATING MODES. |
abstract |
A first means (24) supplies a hydrogen-containing compound capable of undergoing a reaction releasing hydrogen by endothermic reaction and a second means (10, 19) supplies liquid hydrogen peroxide or air. A reforming device (21) is connected to the first means (24) and subjects the hydrogen-containing compound to the endothermic reaction and a decomposing device (12) can be selectively connected to the second means (10, 19) for decomposing hydrogen peroxide and release oxygen. Means are provided for transmitting heat to the hydrogen-containing compound before or during reception by the reforming device. Separate means are provided for supplying heat to the reforming device in order to maintain the endothermic reaction. The evolved hydrogen is supplied to the fuel cell. Oxygen supplied to the fuel cell is either taken from the decomposition device (12) or obtained from air sources. |
