titleOfInvention | TOXOPLASMA GONDII SPECIFIC GENE PROBES, AND THEIR USE FOR IN VITRO DETECTION OF TOXOPLASMA GONDII AND FOR THE TYPING OF TOXOPLASMIC STRAINS. |
abstract | The present invention relates to the detection of toxoplasmosis. The aim of the invention is to enable the rapid detection of Toxoplasma gondii, very sensitive and applicable in routine. This aim is achieved using nucleic acids consisting of all or part of the DNA sequences chosen from TGR1A, TGR1E, TGR2 and TGR4 or the corresponding complementary sequences, or said sequences modified by substitutions and / or additions and / or deletions of one or more nucleotides so as not to affect their properties. The method for the detection of Toxoplasma gondii according to the invention consists in selecting specific oligonucleotides beforehand, in amplifying the DNA to be analyzed contained in a biological sample by the “Polymerase Chain Reaction” method, in separating, denaturing, transferring and fixing the amplified DNA fragments on a membrane and carrying out an attempt at hybridization with one of the selected, labeled oligonucleotides. The nucleic acids according to the invention can also be used for the typing of the strains of Toxoplasma gondii. |
