abstract In a device for disinfecting a stream of water to obtain a stream of disinfected water, the device comprises a pipe (22) which extends vertically. The pipe has an inlet port and an outlet port and guides the flow of water between these two ports. The stream of water is filmed by a section 25 which is connected to the outlet. The film of the stream of water is irradiated with an electron beam so as to be disinfected to give the stream of disinfected water. The electron beam is produced by an irradiation section (12). The stream of disinfected water is projected onto a discharge section.
