titleOfInvention SCINTILLATION DEVICE FOR USE IN MEASURING ATTENUATION BY TRANSMISSION TOMOGRAPHY
abstract A gamma camera is produced which can be used to measure the attenuation coefficient of gamma radiation in a body studied from a gamma camera, normally carried out to study the effects of gamma radiation emitted by markers injected into the body. For this purpose, the collimator 18 of this gamma camera is removed and it is replaced by a crown 17 and by an arm 13 to which is fixed an enclosure 12 intended to contain a point radioactive source 11 outside the body. We show that we can thus obtain images in transmission very quickly. These images are useful for correcting normal emission images.
