abstract The invention relates to enzymatically enhanced quenching processes for skin and body hair, using proteolytic and lipolytic enzymes and interfacially active agents in aqueous baths, the soaking baths containing: A) lipases having optimum of activity in the pH range 9 to 11, B) proteases with activity in the pH range of 9 to 11, and C) agents with interfacial activity, and the pH of the quench baths being in the range from 9 to 11.
