abstract The invention relates to a molding sand for abrasive tools containing artificial corundum, kaolinite, feldspar, a binding and wetting agent and a highly reactive agent. According to the invention, a calcium-borosilicate frit having the following composition by weight is used for the reactive agent: artificial corundum 76.5-90.0 kaolinite 2.1-5.7 feldspar 2.8-7.6 agglutinating and wetting agent 3.0-4.5 calcium-borosilicate frit 2,1-5.7 the composition of said calcium-borosilicate frit, in percentage by weight, is as follows: silicon oxide 22.0-38.0 oxide aluminum 14.5-15.5 boron oxide 25.0-35.0 calcium oxide 12.5-17.5 sodium oxide 4.0-7.5 potassium oxide 2.0-3.5 the ratio of oxides of boron and calcium is within the limits of 1.5 to 2.5. The invention applies in particular to the manufacture of abrasive tools made of artificial corundum with ceramic binders.
