titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS OF SYMMETRIC UREAS |
abstract | The present invention relates to a process for the synthesis of symmetrical ureas by reaction in a solvent of carbon dioxide with a primary amine, in the presence of an ethynyl derivative and a complex of ruthenium, iron or osmium as catalyst. The ethynyl derivative can act as a solvent. The operation is generally carried out in an autoclave under a CO 2 pressure of between 1 and 10 MPa, at a temperature of between 100 and 160 degree (s) C. Symmetrical ureas are used in particular in pharmacy, agrochemistry and cosmetology. |
