abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing, by means of a laser, colored inscriptions and markings on plastic objects having any shape. According to this process, a film of soluble plastic material containing a chromogenic component is applied to the object to be marked, then, after having dried the film, the object is exposed to the radiation of a continuously excited laser, so that the radiation is directed, in accordance with the form of the marking to be carried out, on the surface of the object to be marked, that the film and the surface of the object which is directly adjacent to it soften at the places affected by the radiation, and that the component chromogenic penetrates into the surface layer of the object, and then eliminates, by means of a solvent, the non-irradiated film which remains, so that in the places affected by the radiation there remains a contrasting, colored and visible marking. |
