titleOfInvention | A SELECTIVE IMMUNOENZYMOMETRIC METHOD FOR THE ASSAY OF APOB-CONTAINING LIPOPROTEINS OR A FRAGMENT THEREOF, ANTI-LP (A) MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES AND DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS |
abstract | The present invention relates to a selective immunoenzymometric method for the assay of lipoprotein particles containing apoprotein B (apoB) or a fragment thereof, to anti-Lp (a) monoclonal antibodies and to the application of this process for the diagnosis of atherosclerosis. The assay method is characterized in that said lipoproteins, optionally present in the form of particles, are brought into contact with two antibodies, namely a first antibody, which is a monoclonal antibody which captures the apoprotein (a) [apo (a)] present in the lipoprotein and a second antibody which is an antibody conjugated to a suitable enzyme for detecting and assaying said apo (a), or in the case where the lipoproteins are present in the form of particles, of apoB, said detection being revealed by the development of a color reaction in the presence of a substrate of said enzyme. |
