abstract Composite material with an elastomeric matrix, characterized in that it comprises, in the same formulation, at least one fibrous reinforcement consisting of short fibers and at least one thermosetting resin and in that its tensile modulus, under an elongation of 100%, in the direction orthogonal to that of the reinforcement, is at least equal to 6 MPa associated with an anisotropy ratio at least equal to 6. Application to the manufacture of articles with an elastomeric matrix, and, in particular, to transmission belts, to conveyor belts, tire beads, expansion compensators and hoses with integrated flanges or impact protectors.
