Process for preparing ion exchange resin or adsorbent resins by polymerizing vinyl monomers and compounds containing more than one vinyl group in the presence of a blowing agent and a catalyst, by suspension polymerization in the presence of agents porogens and solvents, characterized in that the polymerization is carried out in a closed system at a pressure of 0.1 to 15 bar, preferably 2 to 6 bar, the solvents and the pore-forming agents being removed by distillation or extraction and the polymer then being transformed into an ion exchange resin by sulfonation, chloromethylation, amination and hydrolysis. |
