titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF PARA-AMINOPHENOL
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of para-aminophenol by reduction of nitrobenzene. It is characterized in that the reduction is carried out electrochemically from an aqueous sulfuric solution with a concentration of between 2N and 6N H2 SO4 containing nitrobenzene maintained in emulsion, using as cathode an electrode with a three-dimensional structure and operating the electrolysis at a temperature between 60 and 120 degree(s)C.
