titleOfInvention ANTINEOPLASTIC SUBSTANCE DITE ROLLINIASTATIN 1
abstract A new substance, having a potent action of inhibiting cell development, has been obtained from a South American tree, Rollinia mucosa. This substance has been named rolliniastatin 1. Physical and chemical parameters are described, including its ability to strongly inhibit the development of N.C.I.P388 lymphocytic leukemia. Pharmaceutical preparations are described containing rolliniastatin 1, its synthetic counterpart and their pharmaceutically active and non-toxic derivatives, as an essential active ingredient of these preparations.
