titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR EXTRACTING ESSENTIAL OILS FROM AROMATIC PLANTS AND PRODUCTS OBTAINED |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for extracting essential oils from aromatic plants and / or organs of these plants. The method comprises contacting the plants with 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane to separate fibrous solids from an aqueous phase and an organic phase which is mixed with trichloro-1, 1,2,2-trifluoroethane, then to distil the liquid mixture to separate 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane, to fractionate the residual liquid by an extractant of essential oils, especially by steam distillation, and to operate on the corresponding fraction a physical separation for the purpose of separating the essential oils from the extracting agent. The process of the invention makes it possible to extract the essential oils without degrading the other constituents of the plant that can be recovered: fibrous solids recovered at the end of the operation a, lipids recovered at the end of the operation c. |
