titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF ORGANIZED COLLAGEN STRUCTURES, PARTICULARLY OF HUMAN ORIGIN, AND CORRESPONDING ORGANIZED STRUCTURES OF COLLAGEN |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for manufacturing organized structures of collagen, in particular of human origin, and the corresponding organized structures of collagen. These organized structures can be either fibers or membranes. According to this process, a sample of animal or human tissue, previously washed and sanitized, is ground in a saline solution in order to dissolve the collagen contained in said sample. Then added to the extract obtained, composed of collagen fibrils in minimum quantity and free of non-fibrillar collagen precipitate, a catalyst for reconstituting collagen fibers. After a maturation step, the reconstituted organized structures are separated from the aqueous medium by centrifugation, washed, sanitized, conditioned, lyophilized, sterilized. Among the organized structures obtained, the collagen fibers are present in an isolated state, separated from their original cellular tissue, in a network 35, ready for use. They have a periodicity of transverse striations 37 between 68 nm and 72 nm. |
